What Makes Us Different?
Our walking groups provide direct supervision by a licensed PT to address the needs of individuals recovering from complex conditions or struggling with mobility constraints. Vitals monitoring will be provided prior to and throughout each session for individuals with diabetes, cardiac/respiratory or other conditions. Research shows that the most potent combination to maintain health is a mix of social interaction, cognitive tasking, and physical exercise (clinically called triple-tasking). We intentionally plan activities to incorporate all three during our pace-friendly walk!
We conduct initial and periodic testing to track cognitive-motor capacity. You'll likely see the functional benefits long before we verify them on paper!
A Rigby local, Bryant grew up on a small hobby farm where he learned the value of hard work and good ol' ingenuity. He ran with the Cross Country team throughout high school and continues to enjoy running for recreation (and occasional competition- mainly to hear people cheering for him).
He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Baltimore, MD area where he spent most of his time in rural VA & WV. After returning home, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology at BYU-Idaho and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Idaho State University.
Bryant met his lovely wife, Megan, at a physical therapy clinic while they were both in college. They now have three incredible, sweet and rambunctious children who are eager to help in any way at home and with the practice.
Bryant has always loved the outdoors and frequently takes time with his family hiking, backpacking, and experimenting with Dutch Oven cooking in the wilderness. He and his family also love creating wholesome foods such as raw milk yogurt and cheese, fresh-milled bread, and plant-based meals seasoned to perfection.
TESTIMONIALS
"So glad to have found Bryant Gardner who specializes in neuropathy and balance issues. My Dr. recommended physical therapy for these symptoms and I was glad to have found someone with the passion to help make life easier for me. Bryant was able to locate nerves and showed me ways to relieve some of the pain and tingling I was experiencing. Balance was becoming a real problem... I am back golfing after 10+ years and am looking forward to getting back on a regular schedule to improve my life. I would recommend anyone to contact Bryant to help you have a better quality of life." - Marilyn
"I was searching for help with managing neuropathy when I found Bryant. At our first meeting, I knew I had found the right person to help me on my journey toward better health. I have an autoimmune disease that has caused neuropathy resulting in numbness, weakness, stiffness, and pain in my feet and legs. Bryant listened carefully to my concerns and designed a program that addressed my specific, unique needs and desired goals. In the first few weeks of working with Bryant, I noticed increased strength and range of motion, improved circulation in my feet and legs, decreased discomfort, and I feel more secure in standing and walking. Bryant is highly knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant to work with."
"I highly recommend Bryant Gardner PT, DPT as your physical therapist. Bryant is willing to work with me at home, at my gym, or even walking my little dog with me around the block. His treatment modalities include strength, balance, gait training, deep message, and deep needling - anything I need. Under my Doctor's orders and Bryant's support, I have been able to continue to live at home and regain a lot of my independent and functional everyday living activities. I am still improving under his gentle care and I couldn't ask for more. I really appreciate Bryant for walking me through it."
"In addition to our one-on-one appointments, he provided a set of exercises tailored to my needs that I can perform safely at home and advance at my own pace. He answers my questions and enlists my feedback to adjust my program and address new concerns. I feel Bryant is invested in my well-being and works hard to help me get the most out of physical therapy. He has made a tremendous difference in my mobility, and I have an improved outlook on my health."- Betsy
